Dhyan Health Care in association with Dhyan Foundation successfully organized a Snake Bite Awareness Program on 22nd August 2025 at Duraisamypuram village. The program was held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with the objective of creating awareness among residents about the prevention, first aid, and management of snake bites. The event witnessed good participation from the local community, including men, women, and children who were eager to gain knowledge on this important health issue.



The session was led by Dr. Jeya Murugan, who provided detailed information about the types of snakes commonly found in the region, the difference between venomous and non-venomous bites, and the immediate steps to be taken in case of a snake bite. He also educated the participants on common myths related to snake bites and emphasized the importance of timely medical intervention at nearby healthcare facilities to save lives.
The program was effectively coordinated by CEO Ms. Krishnapriya, who ensured smooth planning and execution of the event. Manager Mr. Sanjeevi Gandhi and Supervisor Mr. Kannan extended their support by mobilizing the residents, arranging the venue, and facilitating the interaction between the speaker and participants. Their collective efforts contributed to the overall success of the program.



The residents actively engaged with the resource person, raising practical questions regarding snake bite first aid and hospital referrals. Demonstrations were also given on safe practices such as immobilization of the bitten limb, avoiding harmful traditional methods, and the importance of transporting patients without delay. This interactive approach helped the community gain confidence in handling such emergencies effectively.
