The Sugar Camp organized by Dhyan Health Care and Dhyan Foundation was successfully conducted in Sankaralingapuram, Kalugumalai, on 10th August 2025. The program was held from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., providing a dedicated platform for community members to undergo blood sugar level screening and gain awareness about diabetes prevention and management. The camp aimed to promote early detection of diabetes and encourage healthy lifestyle practices among the local population.

A total of 47 participants attended the camp, representing a diverse age group from the community. Each participant underwent a free blood sugar test, and the results were explained in simple terms to ensure proper understanding. Necessary health advice was provided based on the readings, along with recommendations for further medical consultation when required. The event was designed to create awareness not only about high blood sugar but also about the risks of low sugar and the importance of maintaining balanced nutrition
The camp was efficiently coordinated by CEO Krishnapriya, with the active support of Manager Sanjeevi Gandhi and Supervisor Kannan. Their efforts ensured smooth registration, orderly testing procedures, and timely completion of activities. Dr. Jeyamurugan led the medical team, offering personalized guidance to participants and addressing their health-related queries with patience and clarity.

Educational interaction formed an important part of the camp, as participants were informed about healthy diet plans, physical activity benefits, and the need for regular medical check-ups. Leaflets containing basic information on diabetes were distributed to help reinforce the advice provided during the camp.
The Sugar Camp received positive feedback from the participants, many of whom appreciated the initiative and expressed interest in attending similar health programs in the future. The event successfully fulfilled its objective of spreading awareness and encouraging preventive healthcare in the Sankaralingapuram community.
