Public Health Care Camps

The primary objective of a public health camp is to address the healthcare needs of the community and ensure the well-being of the individuals. These camps are often organised by us in collaboration with government agencies, and local communities.

Venue and Setup

The camp is usually set up in a central location like a school, community centre, or an open area within the village. Medical professionals and volunteers set up various stations and booths to provide different services.

Registration and Triage

Upon arrival, individuals register themselves and provide basic information. They may be given a token or a number for easy identification and smooth flow of patients. Volunteers or healthcare workers perform a preliminary assessment or triage to identify urgent cases.

Medical Consultations

Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are available to provide consultations and examinations. They assess patients’ medical conditions, offer advice, prescribe medications, and refer patients for further specialised care, if required. Common health issues such as infections, chronic diseases, nutritional deficiencies, and respiratory ailments are addressed during these consultations.

Health Screenings

Screening facilities are set up to identify common health problems. These may include blood pressure checks, blood sugar level tests, BMI measurements, eye screenings, dental check-ups, and basic laboratory tests. These screenings help in detecting early signs of illnesses and providing appropriate interventions.

Immunizations and Vaccinations

Vaccination booths are set up to administer vaccines against preventable diseases, such as polio, hepatitis, tetanus, measles, and influenza. Immunisation schedules are followed as per national guidelines to ensure individuals are protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Health Education and Awareness

Public health camps also focus on health education and awareness programs. Workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions are conducted to educate attendees on topics like hygiene practices, nutrition, family planning, maternal and child health, sanitation, and disease prevention. Informational pamphlets, posters, and demonstrations are used to impart knowledge effectively.

Referrals and Follow-up

In cases where specialised care is needed, patients may be referred to Dhyan Health Care or other relevant hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. Volunteers or healthcare workers may also provide guidance on how to access healthcare services and assist individuals in following up on their medical needs.
